The MKHP original concept of offering career equine training through specific quality Riding Schools was launched over six years ago and has now spread from Lancashire to covering the north west although plans are now underway to expand into Regions throughout the country.

The given number of Riding Schools were approached and invited to become Centres of Excellence in their own areas who could act as the core training establishment and able to offer local Government career training to candidates, acting as a gateway into the growing equine industry or for those already in the equine industry but wanting to train towards qualifications to help them secure better jobs.

Crabtree Clay Pigeon Shoot

Crabtree Clay Pigeon Shoot

We're a family business (father and sons; Edward, Derek and Jonty) and we've been running the Crabtree Clay Shoot for a number of years. When we first made the move to diversify our scenic farm land in the southern Lake District, we began a friendly shoot with only one automatic trap, 2 traditional manual traps and a whole lot of enthusiasm. Now, Crabtree Clay Shoot has over 50 automatic traps and plenty of guns for hire. We welcome shooters on Wednesdays and Saturdays to join us at the farm.

The Priory Scorton

The Priory, Scorton

The Priory Scorton is a unique Cafe/Bar, Restaurant, Hotel and Wedding Venue based in the picturesque Lancashire village of Scorton.

With parts of the building dating back to 1650, The Priory weathered the storm of the reformation to become a blacksmiths, boys school and more recently a country inn before being transformed into the boutique hotel, cafe bar and restaurant it is today. Local legend has it that Cromwell's soldiers stayed at The Priory and were so pleased with the Hospitality that they left without harming the Priest, but went on to destroy Greenhalgh Castle in the nearby market town of Garstang.

Pedalnorth.com

Pedalnorth.com

Pedal North is a website built for cyclists. It is a simple idea, that will do it's best to retain a sense of independence, whilst striving to be amongst the best resources for cyclists of all ages and abilities visiting the area. As a member of the CTSB and son of a 'Rough Stuff Fellowship' founding member, I feel a sense of obligation in promoting cycling within the community. We will always try to retain this as our focus.
